Atlas of Macedonian
modern architecture
The main goal of the research project "Atlas of Macedonian Modern Architecture" is to recognize, document, study and value the modernist architectural heritage from the second half of the 20th century on the territory of the Republic of Macedonia. Through the public presentation and promotion of valuable architectural achievements in the period 1945-1985, the project aims to indicate the scope, quality and progressive modernization and emancipatory character of this segment of recent Macedonian architectural history.
The Atlas of Macedonian Modern Architecture registers and maps more than 500 individual architectural realizations built in the period 1945-1985, of which over 100 are documented, and more than 40 selected buildings are presented in the form of three-dimensional architectural models.
The author's team of the project consists of Ana Ivanovska Deskova, Jovan Ivanovski, Vladimir Deskov, Tea Damjanovska, Mihajlo Stojanovski and collaborators.
